U/10 MOSMAN SWANS TOUR

A fantastic opportunity is available at the U10's age level for a father/mentor and son trip away to play the Mosman Junior Football Club in Sydney.

 

This will take place over the weekend of September 1st and 2nd with the games being played the morning of Sunday 2nd September. This weekend was chosen due to oval availability in Mosman, the SMJFL U11 to U13 finals having concluded and a bye for the AFL.

Accommodation and Travel

 

There will be 2 travel options:

​​

  • 1 night – checking in Saturday September 1st and out Sunday September 2nd

  • 2 nights – checking in Friday August 31st and out Sunday September 2nd

 

Accommodation will be at the Novotel Sydney Manly Pacific in a twin share (1 adult, 1 son) room. This package will include breakfast for 2.

 

Flights – please book your own flights. There are plenty of options and sales.

What is the format of the games on Sunday?

​

On Sunday morning we will head to Middle Head Oval in Mosman to play the Swans.

 

  • 2 simultaneous games commencing at 10am

  • 2 sides of 24 players for the Knights and Mosman

  • Each player will play 3/4's of each of the two games, with 1/4 on the bench. Rotations will be through the Back line, Midfield and Forward line and bench in each game.

  • Overall each boy will therefore play 6 quarters

  • Sides will be pre-selected on an even basis and will not match the regular season teams. Historically boys have really enjoyed playing with different kids.

  • Volunteers will be called upon to fill certain match day roles.

  • Games completed by 12:30pm and have BBQ at the ground hosted by Mosman

  • Depart from the ground by buses at 2:30pm to catch 4:30pm onward flights home to Melbourne

 

What will be the package options & costs?

  • An option to book either 1 night or 2 nights’ accommodation package

  • Bus transportation for all on Saturday from the Hotel to Warringah Bowls club and then back to the Hotel later that evening

  • Saturday at the Bowls club the Mosman Swans will be funding dinner.

  • Bus transportation to the game on Sunday and then direct bus departure to the airport

  • Every Player will receive a "Mosman Footy Trip 2018" hoodie

  • BBQ after the games at Middle Head Oval on Sunday is again funded and hosted by our hosts.

  • NOT INCLUDED - Flights (You will need to self-book once your spot is confirmed)

 

1 Night total package cost - $400* (Dad/mentor & son)

2 Nights total package cost - $650* (Dad/mentor & son)

 

1 night must be paid in full at time of booking.

**** Please ensure you return flight is booked no earlier than 4:30pm on the Sunday September 2nd to allow for the travel time, check in etc.....
