As a result of the 2020 SMJFL season being cancelled, we have conducted a review of the club's finances before formulating a refund / rollover plan to ensure the financial viability of the club whilst also minimising any increases to registration fees in the future.

 

With regards to the 2020 registration fees that have been paid by families, we are offering the following options:
 

• Option 1: Rollover this year's registration fee to 2021.  By doing this you will lock in the 2020 registration fee of $280 fee & avoid having to pay any increases to the fee that may be implemented for the 2021 season.
   

• Option 2: Donate your 2020 registration fee to the club.  This will greatly assist us in keeping any fee increases for 2021 to a minimum.
   

• Option 3: Refund of 2020 registration fee of $240 ($280 minus a modest 2020 club operating expense) .  All refunds will be processed by SportsTG and credited back to the credit card used for the initial registration.  If you are experiencing financial hardship or your credit card has expired/changed since registration please contact Anne Moore, club registrar via emjfc.clubinfo@gmail.com with regards to your refund. 

 

We ask that all families take into consideration the expenses incurred by the club to date when requesting a refund.  These expenses include:
 

• A non-refundable administration fee paid to SportsTG for processing each player registration, plus another fee for processing refunds

• Coaching & First Aid accreditation courses

• Administration costs

• Council fees

• Medical supplies

• Player jumpers, footballs and training equipment (whilst these will be used in 2021 & beyond, the club has already paid for these items).

 

And a reminder to families that all players did have a brief "taste" of the 2020 season with 4-6 weeks training.  There were costs involved in making this happen (e.g. hand sanitiser & other requirements to ensure that we adhered to the SMJFL COVID training policy).

 

If you would like to donate your registration fee or receive a refund, please email Anne Moore (emjfc.clubinfo@gmail.com) by Friday August 21, 2020.  If we do not hear from you by this date, we will presume that you are happy to roll over your registration to 2021.
